To read this file, there has to be an htaccess file in place that provides the necessary DirectoryIndex instruction, allowing the present file to be read. Without that, the system will probably default to /standard_index.html.

If this file is not being parsed for PHP you will see various comments.

Some subdomains are intended to redirect to locations below the HTML root but this is has not been working reliably on all sites, although it seems OK now. If PHP is running, the following diagnostics for subdomains might help...

• PHP reports that the file currently being parsed is
  /var/www/clients/client1/web1/web/myIndex.html
• PHP reports the parent directory path (dirname) to be /.
  That should tell you whether the system has redirected any relevant subdomain.
